Song - Two to Tango by The Fontaines



Set in a bar in a Latin America country in the 70s/80s era, we have a band playing this songs while a waitress is serving drinks. In the bar, we have some stereotypical Latin American gangstas with their cigars who are watching the Waitress, when one of the gangstas steps up to try and dance with the waitress, the lead singer of the band steps up and dances with the girl because he knows that this gangster is gonna maybe hurt this waitress. They then dance to the chorus of the song. We can see that the waitress would prefer to dance with the lead singer and she makes moves to dance with him but the gangster pulls her back to him.I have this idea that in the breakdown of the song which lasts around 20/30 seconds, we have this sequence where we have the Main gangster and the lead singer dancing with the waitress and she keeps switching between the two characters.  The gangsters then pull their guns out on the lead singer, he is very calm and goes to put on his guitar, he then plays the chorus riff which baffles the gangsters who love the music and start dancing to the music. So its a happy and positive ending which contrasts the rest of the video which is quite serious. At the end of the song, everyone says goodbye to each other and we see the waitress leave with the lead singer who has his arm around her. 

The Gangsters will be dressed similarly to what is shown in the picture above.

The set will have bright vibrant colours just like the album cover of the actual song. Lots of light oranger and blue like a Latin America bar. There will be lots of bottles of alcohol such as tequila which can add to the atmosphere of the video. The set will have a vintage look as it is set in the 70s/80s

These are some inspiration shots I got of a few Latin American restaurants and bars. There will be a lot of light blue and orange colours on set which can hopefully be recreated by a combination of set decoration and lighting.

Costumes for the band, Black shirt, black trousers and shoes and they will have either a red rose tucked in the top pocket or a red tie to go with the whole Latin American dancer look.

Similarities in a social media campaign

There are many similarities in an artists music campaign and their social media marketing campaign, for example, the overall theme is usually the same e.g. colours, images and fonts along with other elements.

Usually song announces are un expected and a suppose to fans, usually created in a single post either revealing the song or just announcing a possible upcoming EP. They are usually are very simple and get the point across easily with maybe just a sentence or a few words.
